John Nasukaluk Clare
The first Native American to lead an all-classical radio station, John Nasukaluk Clare is comfortable behind a microphone, streaming video, or playing violin. He is a valued board member of the St. Louis Chamber Music Society and was the Artistic Director of Gretna Music in Mount Gretna PA. For over seven years, Clare kept company all over the world as the weekday morning drive host on SiriusXM’s Symphony Hall. Previous adventures include stations in Missouri, Texas, Kansas, Nevada, California, and Pennsylvania. John’s voice work includes narration and acting from holiday concerts as Santa Claus, to Peter and the Wolf/Carnival of the Animals, to an original “Inspector Treble” for educational concerts. In 2005, he earned the Deems Taylor Award from ASCAP for radio broadcasting, citing his work on 20/20 Hearing. Having performed with famed tenors Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli, John has worked with the Lubbock Symphony, Mozart Festival Texas, Mid Texas Symphony Nevada Chamber Symphony, Shreveport Symphony, Abilene Philharmonic, and Wichita Symphony Orchestra. An avid chamber music lover, Clare founded the Las Vegas Chamber Music Society in 2004.

Clare was the weekday morning host for WFMT in Chicago. He’s been the Music Director of WGUC Cincinnati and WBAA Classical in West Lafayette, Indiana at 101.3FM; as well as the lead host of Classical Music Indy. John was also on the advisory board of NEWMUSIC USA, and a violinist with Mozart Festival Texas. He has also served on the boards of the American Music Center in New York City, and the San Antonio Chamber Music Society.
John resides in West Lafayette with his wife, youngest stepdaughter, and his English lop Khloe Bun Bun. Hobbies include grilling, fishing, and everything Star Wars related!
John has been in the music business over 40 years, in front of audiences with his violin, viola, baton, and microphone. On stage and online, Mr. Clare will raise your social media awareness, audience members and promote your project.
